Trogir
Trogir is a small historic town located 30 km west of Stobreč. It is known for its old town centre, which has been under UNESCO protection since 1997. In the heart of the old town is the Cathedral of St Lawrence, known for its Romanesque portal by Master Radovan and Gothic architectural details. The old part of Trogir is located on an island, and is connected to the mainland by one bridge and to the island of Čiovo by another. The town centre is interwoven with narrow stone streets with medieval buildings and numerous larger or smaller squares, and the town also holds several towers, the most famous of which is the Kamerlengo Tower. In the summer months, the Kamerlengo Tower becomes a stage for numerous theatrical and concert events.
Trogir is well known in nautical circles due to its proximity to the ACI marina, and is often the starting point for day trips to Drvenik Veliki, where some of the most beautiful beaches in the region with the clearest sea are located.
