Kaštela
Kaštela is a city located on the coast of the Kaštela Bay, and with more than 40,000, inhabitants it is the second largest city in the Split-Dalmatia County. The city is made up of seven separate settlements — Kaštel Sućurac, Kaštel Gomilica, Kaštel Kambelovac, Kaštel Lukšić, Kaštel Stari, Kaštel Novi and Kaštel Štafilić — which developed around fortifications, so-called castles, and each settlement has its own special story and characteristics.
The cultural life of the city is carried out through numerous associations and institutions. The city has its own museum – the Museum of town Kaštela is located in the Vitturi Castle, while the exhibition space is located in the former bishop's summer residence in Kaštel Sućurac.
